Carolina Horse Park Expands in Southern Pines!

Shannon Habenicht

We are excited to announce that CHP has closed on the first tract of 28 acres of new land adjacent to the Park {Southern Pines, North Carolina} as of July 1st thanks to the generous donors participating in this key acquisition.

The second tract of 37 acres, which is scheduled to close at the end of September 2019, has also been very generously supported through a matching gift arrangement. The gift matching is dollar for dollar up to the full purchase price, so this doubles the value of each donation and we are delighted to let you know that we are over 80% funded for this equally important property also adjacent to the Park. With the acquisition of this tract, we can be confident that we have permanently halted the motocross activities adjacent to our show arenas and day parking.

We need your help as we continue our fundraising efforts for the acquisition of the 37-acre tract and plan for the preparation of this new property for a variety of uses including further competition sites, space for further educational and environmental initiatives, and for community involvement.

Thank you to all our wonderful constituents and supporters. We could not make the Carolina Horse Park such a wonderful facility without you!
